Whether it's due to the beauty of the surrounding valley and nearby mountains or the musical inspiration that has always graced Tennessee, Knoxville abounds with creative energy. In the spring, the Dogwood Arts Festival provides a great way to see the works of local artisans while enjoying the mild spring weather. World's Fair Park was built to impress for the 1982 fair and even today it is quite the sight to see. The town also contains more traditional attractions, like the Knoxville Museum of Art and the Knoxville Zoo that are still uniquely local and fascinating.
