Description:
Ijams Nature Center is a 160-acre park, maintained as a wildlife sanctuary, which features numerous wildlife viewing areas, a waterfront boardwalk and paved and mulched trails. The park’s visitor center displays educational nature exhibits and offers programs such as guided nature walks, canoe trips and owl prowls. It is located along the Tennessee River, just south of the Island Home Downtown Airport.
Hours of Operation:
Grounds open daily dawn - dusk. Center open Tue. - Sat. 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Sun. 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
